Map Switch
Privacy Policy
Map Switch is designed to convert places without creating an account or an advertising profile.
1. Scope
This policy applies to Map Switch: Map Link Converter for iPhone and its share extension.
Last updated: August 30, 2026.
2. Information handled on your device
Map Switch processes the text, coordinates, location codes, and map links you provide so it can identify a place and create compatible destinations for map services.
Resolved places may appear in the app's local conversion history. Preferences such as appearance, coordinate format, map service, and sharing options are also stored on your device. You can remove conversion history and browsing data using the controls in the app, or remove all local app data by deleting the app.
3. Network connections
Inputs that can be interpreted locally do not require a network request. Some short or redirected map links require a connection to the service that created them to determine their final destination. The original link is used for conversion and is not retained in conversion history.
Map previews, place details, and reverse geocoding may use services provided by Apple. These connections can include the location being viewed, your IP address, and ordinary technical connection information.
4. Opening and sharing a place
When you choose a map or navigation service, your device opens that provider with the location or directions you selected. The provider then handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Map Switch shares content only when you choose an export or system sharing action. The selected text, coordinates, map card, or other location details are sent to the destination you select.
5. Data collection and tracking
The developer does not collect personal data from Map Switch, sell personal information, use advertising SDKs, or track you across apps and websites. The app requires no account.
6. This website
This static website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, tracking scripts, external fonts, or browser storage. The hosting provider may process ordinary server connection logs under its own terms.
7. Changes
This policy will be updated if Map Switch's data practices materially change.
